Tapered roller bearings are designed so that the vertices of the conical surfaces of the inner ring raceway surface, the outer ring raceway surface and the roller rolling surface coincide at one point on the bearing centerline.
Can bear radial load and unidirectional axial load at the same time. This type of bearing will generate axial component force when bearing radial load, so two bearings should be used in front or back configuration.
